Delhi’s Fat Consumption Index – HealthifyMe

HealthifyMe data indicate that Delhi is number three, after Arunachal Pradesh and Goa, among states that have a high rate of fat consumption, according to the ideal PFC (Protein:Fat:Consumption) which is 20:30 :50.
Among the top eight cities, Delhi’s fat consumption is as high as (~29.8%), putting it at the top of the list.
The city’s high fat intake is the result of a staple diet consisting of parathas, samosas and chola bhatura.
These high levels of fat consumption put Delhi residents at risk for hypertension and diabetes, leading to heart disease, making it a growing concern for the city.
